Date: 110813 Time: 184652
Place: Bangkok
Discoverer: Lalinthorn Phencharoen
The black rat “Rattus race”, as the name suggests, is a “race rat”. Its traditional habitat is in the field. Until the past hundred years they have migrated to live in urban area as the cities are comparatively richer in food. They can adjust very well to cramped living condition. They are clever, capable of problem solving, and fast learning. They possess great memory yet they act as if they were stupid to trick other animals. As they have very sharp and perfect sense of smell, they forage faster than any other kind of animals. However, they spend half of their lifetime cleaning themselves.
This species of rat loves competitive. They compete for a better position. They are beating, hindering others’ progress for their own prominence. They always improve their versatilities, such as swimming non-stop for 72 hours. They can jump from high places for 15 meter height without injury and force themselves through small holes of less than two centimeters. They can jump higher than 90 centimeters, climb up a perpendicular surface, and walk on a string. Without water, they survive longer than camels. They can eat even inedible stuff. They mate over 20 times daily and are very promiscuous. Female rats in rut mate with more than 500 males. Even worse, they are carriers of more than 70 severe diseases. They transmit information by whispering to others. It is men’s difficult challenge to get rid of them.
